1. Final general meeting of the semester

Details for the final general meeting of the semester - where we will raffle prizes for attendance over the past semester and vote for open positions - will occur during one of the two weeks between Thanksgiving break and finals. Keep an eye on the ASME Newsletter and ASME website as details become available.

2. General Electric Leadership Program informational session

Date: Thursday, December 6, 2007

Time: 6-9PM

Location: Illini Union (room TBD) and bowling alley TBD

General Electric is targeting select student groups to attend an informational session on its various leadership programs. Though students from several societies are invited, the purpose of this event is to attract attention to the leadership programs available at GE by providing personalized experiences from program participants; mentioning spring semester GE recruiting activities; and interactive time between students and GE representatives during bowling.

Signups are limited to ten spots and will be available starting Tuesday, November 13 at 12:01AM.

3. Position for Special Projects Co-Director Open

If you enjoy being creative, building things, and organizing events, consider running for Special Projects Co-Director for the Spring semester.  As Special Projects Co-Director, you will be responsible for making ASME's EOH exhibits come to life.  We need to fill this important position since one of our current directors will be studying abroad next semester.  During the last general meeting we will be voting on the new director; if you would like run, please write a short application telling us why you should be Special Projects Director.  Applications will be due November 26th to Alex Hanson, jhanson3@uiuc.edu

4. ASME job board

ASME will have a job board where companies looking for ME students can post their information. Its address is http://asme.ec.uiuc.edu/jobs.htm, so check back often to see what new opportunities are available exclusively for ASME members.
