1. General Meeting with Caterpillar and participation raffle!

Come and join us for our first general meeting this semester with Caterpillar, Inc., a worldwide leader in construction, agricultural, and forestry equipment. In addition, we will be holding a raffle based on the participation points that you have earned with us! If you have ever been to a general meeting, roundtable, professor lunch, or have helped out with committees and such, you have a chance to win prizes! If you don’t come to the meeting, you can’t win a prize, so come and hear about the opportunities that Caterpillar has to offer. As always, FREE PIZZA!

 

 

2. ME for Me!

Date: Saturday, February 10^th

Our annual ME for Me Conference is coming up soon! At ME for Me, engineers from actual companies and a representative from Engineering Career Services will discuss the various career paths and choices available to mechanical engineers. In addition to industry exposure, students will also receive a participation gift, lunch, and a chance to win one of several prizes. Signups will be online soon. The annual Engineering Open House, sponsored by Engineering Council, is coming up on March 9^th - 10^th, and ASME is again preparing an exhibit. For those of you who don’t know what EOH is, it is an annual, free, and public showcasing of the projects of engineering students at the University of Illinois. If you would like to be involved with ASME’s fun and exciting projects, including a penny smasher, a hovercraft, and tours of the Ford Rapid Prototyping and sand casting labs, please contact Matt Savoie at msavoie2@uiuc.edu or Jason Thomas at thomas6@uiuc.edu.
