1. Bar Crawl!!!

 

The ASME Bar Crawl is THIS TUESDAY, OCTOBER 17TH. We will be starting at 9:00 pm at Geovanti’s. If you haven’t paid for your t-shirt yet, please bring $7 to pay for that. Once you have paid for your shirt (or if you have already paid), you can pick it up at Geovanti’s. Thanks to everyone who signed up! It’ll be a blast!! 2. Intramural Volleyball

 

For those who have signed up for intramural volleyball, the ASME team has been cancelled. We are sorry for any confusion this may have caused.

Come to our roundtable with a leading chemical manufacturing company, Equistar, on Tuesday, October 24th. Meet the company representatives and talk to them in a relaxed, one-on-one atmosphere.   1. Professor Lunch with Dantzig

 

Come to our professor lunch with Jonathan Dantzig, a professor in the MechSe department. It is this Thursday, October 19th at noon at the Illini Union Ballroom (on the second floor of the Union). Some of the top companies in the industry have been asking ASME for the resume's of ASME members.  If you would like to be included in this database, please contact Michael Hong at mkhong1@uiuc.edu. This is a great way to get your name to the people that matter. Submit your resume today!

 

 

  1. ASME sponsored lecture by Alexander Rankin

 

You are cordially invited to a lecture by Alexander Rankin, the founder and former president of Vulcan Spring and Manufacturing Company. The title of his presentation is “The Path from an Entrepreneur to a THEY .” The lecture is tomorrow, October 17th, at 2005 MEL from 5:30 – 7:00 pm.
