Engineering Open House Committee
EOH Committee is in charge of making sure ASME has a good exhibit to display at the annual Engineering Open House in March. EOH Committee plans two exhibits every year: one aimed towards younger children and another one, more in depth with more research involved. In addition, EOH Committee needs to arrange the necessary funds and equipment for the completion of a successful project.ME for Me Committee
This committee is responsible for organizing the ME for Me conference in February of each year. The conference is a way for students of any major (specifically ME's) to see the various career opportunities in the field of Mechanical Engineering. Committee members have the chance to make many corporate contacts and gain valuable leadership skills. The committee meets regularly in the fall and will be hard at work just prior to the conference.
Publicity Committee
The Publicity Committee's responsibility is to advertise all ASME events, namely through posting fliers, chalking sidewalks, and lecture announcements. The Publicity Director's duties include organizing committee meetings and sending weekly emails.Social Committee
Have a blast planning happy hours, cookouts, movie nights, and more by joining the social committee! Get involved in the social committee to meet a lot of people and just think of fun things to do.
Industrial Committee
This committee is ASME's primary link to the corporate world. This committee recruits speakers for meetings, arranges corporate roundtables, and coordinates plant trips. The relationship of ASME to industry has much untapped potential!
